This story is about a "half vampire" in the tenth grade who,like any other teenager,is struggling with friends,school,and bullies.His biggest problem is staying alive under the watchful eye of D'Ablo,an evil vampire out for Vlads blood.Vlad is left with no protection beecause his vampire uncle has disapeared,his aunt is mortal,and his parents were killed when he was a child.More than any thing he is trying to stay friends with Henry,his best friend since the age of 8,who doesn't want to be his drudge anymore.He has to make hard choices that ,if made wrong,could end his and his bestfriends life.
