Quick summary; A child called it is about a young seven year old child named dave, who grew up with a happy life until he turned eight years old and his mother started drinking and she got really mad at his father so when his father was at work she would beat him and make him sit on his hands outside on a bunch of hard rocks in the cold. She Made him take a cold shower with bleach and amonia in the bathroom while he took a bath and she called it the amonia chamber. She never fead him and if she did she would give him left over cearel from his brother's bowl and from the garbage. Dave Had to steel food from the grocery store and from his school cafeteria. He always wished his dad would help him out and tell his mom to stop treating him so bad and treat him like her son because he dosen't do anything bad, she made him feel like he was forth less and a bad boy. but i really recomend this book becasue its based on the authors child hood and its a really realistic and good book!
